PDEA R10 conducts Two-day Refresher Seminar on R.A. 9165
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office-10, with the support of the Provincial
Government of Camiguin, conducted a two-day Refresher Seminar on Republic Act 9165,
otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2022, and its Jurisprudence last 9-10
August 2023 at the Multipurpose Hall, 3 rd Floor, New Capitol Building, Lakas, Poblacion,
Mambajao, Camiguin.
The seminar primarily aims to provide an operatives guide in the conduct of anti-illegal drugs
operation, purposely to equip them with the necessary knowledge and strategy for a successful
prosecution, increase chances for conviction and prevent/lessen dismissal and/or acquittal of
cases filed in court as well as to ensure that Camiguin will maintain its drug-cleared status.
The activity was graced by Governor Xavier Jesus D. Romualdo, PDEA-10 Regional Director
Emerson L. Margate, and Regional Prosecutor Merlyn B. Uy and was participated by the
Officers from Camiguin Provincial Police Office, Municipal Police Stations, Officers from
PDEA Camiguin Provincial Office, and Camiguin Provincial Prosecutor and Staff.
